The Club usually meets on a Monday evening at 7.30pm at the Merrick Swimming Pool in Newton Stewart from January to AprilTheory lessons last an hour then we have an hour in the pool followed by a quick change and a get together in the Creebridge House Hotel in the town.  For the rest of the year the Club organises dives and social events....a popular one being a beach barbeque in the summer!

The Club is relatively small due to its rural location, but has usually got around 20 members.  We run a diver training programme affiliated to the British Sub-Aqua Club - the next one for beginners will start in January 2009.  We welcome new members, anyone from people who have never dived before to Advanced divers.

The Club owns a 6.5m RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) and we have bought a new engine for this from grant funding and fund raising.  This has been used since the beginning of the 2006 seasonIn 2001 we were also given a grant towards the cost of a new breathing air compressor which is available to all members and visiting divers (at a small charge).

Many thanks go to 'Awards for All' for the grants towards our new Outboard Engine and breathing air Compressor.

Thanks also to the 'Wigtownshire Sports Council' for funds towards the above projects.

The club has been involved with the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) and Seasearch for a few years now.  Members who have been on an introductory marine life identification course can help the MCS to study and record the UK's underwater environment.  Click on the above link to find out more.
